Changelog

What's new on SilphBoard — v0.3.0.
Unreleased
Changed
  • Showcased medals on your Trainer Card now appear directly below your showcase team instead of above stamps, without a "MEDALS" header.
  • The share-card link on your Trainer Profile now opens in a "Share your Trainer Card" modal behind a "Share card" button, with help text explaining what the link shows.
Fixed
  • Fixed a deprecation warning in the browser console about the PWA "add to home screen" meta tag.
  • The "not active yet" / "link expired" page for meetup check-in QR codes now shows the check-in window in the community's timezone and 24-hour format, instead of UTC in 12-hour format.
Removed
  • Removed the Badges tab from the Trainer Profile page and sidebar.
v0.3.0

2026-08-15

Added
  • A new Medals tab on your Trainer Profile lets you manually log your progress on Pokémon GO medals, including type-catching and event badges, with a history of past entries.
  • You can now choose up to 6 medals to feature on your shareable Trainer Card, alongside your showcase team.
Changed
  • Medal icons now show a distinct image per tier (Bronze/Silver/Gold/Platinum) instead of one generic badge, sourced from Bulbapedia.
  • Medals you haven't reached the first tier on now show their Bronze icon grayed out, instead of a generic trophy placeholder.
  • Medals are now shown as round, tier-colored badges (ring, border, and progress pill) — click a badge to log your score, no separate edit button needed.
  • Gold medals now use a brighter yellow accent and Bronze a deeper copper-orange, so the two tiers are easier to tell apart at a glance.
  • The log score modal now shows the medal's icon alongside its name, plus each tier's score requirement with earned tiers highlighted.
  • The log score modal's score field is now pre-selected when it opens, so typing a new value replaces it immediately.
  • Swapped the log score modal's "Save" and "Save & next" buttons — "Save & next" is now the primary (rightmost) action for logging several medals in a row.
  • Added a Medals link to the Trainer Profile section of the sidebar.
  • Showcased medals on your Trainer Card now show your actual score in a badge centered over the medal icon (replacing the tier number), and the medals section now appears above stamps.
  • The Right Now and Trainer Profile tabs are now centered and show an icon per tab, matching the community page's tab style.
  • The trainer stats time-period selector moved below the stat tabs and no longer stretches full width.
  • Your Trainer Profile is now at the shorter `/trainer` URL (previously `/trainer-profile`).
  • Added a callout to the Medals tab noting that medal stats are coming soon and that progress logged now will be recorded and included.
  • Added a summary at the top of the Medals tab showing how many Platinum, Gold, Silver, and Bronze medals you've earned.
Fixed
  • Event type labels (Spotlight Hour, Community Day, Raid Battles, GO Battle League, Max Monday, Event, Season) are no longer translated, matching how event names and other LeekDuck-sourced text are shown.
  • "Save & next" when logging a medal score now advances to the correct next medal, instead of sometimes reopening one you already logged when the save changed that medal's tier and reshuffled the list.
v0.2.0

2026-08-15

Added
  • Public docs section with how-to guides for scanning your Trainer Profile, uploading Pokédex screenshots, sharing your Trainer Card, and earning stamps.
  • Docs page for community owners explaining what SilphBoard offers a community and how to request one be set up.
  • Auto-generated changelog, viewable at `/docs/changelog`.
  • Help entry point in the header, user menu, and footer.
  • Sidebar links directly to each Right Now tab, your Trainer Profile pages, and your community's Leaderboard/Scoreboards/Meetups tabs, with badges showing how many events, meetups, and scoreboards are currently active or upcoming.
  • Direct link to the changelog from the main sidebar.
  • The site is now available in Norwegian Bokmål in addition to English, auto-detected from your browser language, with an override on your profile settings page.
  • The type effectiveness and counter-suggestions explainer callouts on the raid boss detail modal can now be dismissed, and stay dismissed on future visits.
  • Added a web app manifest, so SilphBoard can be properly installed as a home-screen app on phones and desktops.
  • Trainer Cards now show the SilphBoard logo and wordmark in the footer as the issuing mark.
Fixed
  • The stats summary on your Trainer Profile is now a themed card that switches between light and dark mode instead of always staying dark.
  • The season card on the dashboard is now a themed card that switches between light and dark mode instead of always staying dark.
  • Fixed the changelog page crashing on every visit after the first.
  • Meetup badge icons now stay aligned in a consistent size, with a placeholder icon shown for meetups that haven't awarded a badge yet.
  • The sidebar's event count badge now reflects how many events are active in your own timezone, instead of the server's.
  • Raid boss counter suggestions no longer recommend Mega or Shadow Pokémon forms that haven't actually been released in the game yet.
  • Raid boss counter suggestions no longer recommend base-form Pokémon species that haven't actually released in the game yet (e.g. Chien-Pao).
  • Raid boss counter DPS rankings now correctly account for how many fast moves are needed to charge each charged move — the formula was previously treating all charged moves as if they cost 1 energy, which caused wildly inflated DPS numbers.
  • Meganium and Yanmega are no longer incorrectly excluded from raid counter suggestions due to their names containing the substring "MEGA".
  • Raid boss counter DPS numbers are now much closer to real in-game values — the formula now accounts for the raid boss's own Defense stat instead of using a flat placeholder.
Changed
  • Admins can now see a trainer's team, community, visibility settings, badges, catch submission uploads, and showcased team from their user profile in the admin panel.
  • Moved Privacy Policy and Terms of Service under `/docs`.
  • Added a sidebar navigation with direct links to every section, shown on every page (main site links, or docs links while browsing help pages), alongside the existing top navigation.
  • Renamed the "Scan Trainer Profile" page to "Update Trainer Stats".
  • The sidebar now highlights the tab you're actually viewing on the Right Now and Community pages, even after switching tabs without a full page reload.
  • Raid Bosses now show at most 3 columns per row on wide screens, for easier scanning.
  • Meetup cards on the community meetups page now show the event's image, with time/location/Campfire badges overlaid on it.
  • The Right Now dashboard now opens on the Events tab instead of Community for everyone.
  • Your Trainer Profile now has Stats, Events, and Badges tabs, with direct sidebar links to each and a sidebar that follows along as you switch between them, just like on the Right Now dashboard.
  • Removed the card border around the events tables on the Trainer Profile Events tab for a cleaner look.
  • Renamed "My events" to "Attended Events" on your Trainer Profile, with more space above the heading.
  • Attended Events on your Trainer Profile now shows the check-in icon before each event's name instead of in its own column, with a callout explaining what each icon means.
  • Event scoreboards now use the same check/cross icons as your Trainer Profile to show who checked in at the meetup.
  • The Trainer Profile sidebar link now shows a badge with your number of upcoming and ongoing events.
  • The "Share card" button on your Trainer Profile is now a read-only link field with a copy button, so you can copy your card's link with one click instead of opening it in a new tab first.
  • Added a Trainer Card link to the Trainer Profile sidebar section, shown once you've saved a verified stats scan.
  • Ongoing and upcoming scoreboards on the community Scoreboards tab now use the same photo-card style as meetup cards, and past scoreboards/meetups are now shown as tables instead of cards.
  • The raid boss counter suggestions list now shows up to 24 attackers instead of 6.
  • Raid boss counter suggestions are now shown as a paginated table instead of a card grid.
Removed
  • Removed the Community tab from the Right Now dashboard; your stats, upcoming events, and event history now live on your Trainer Profile instead.
